Hello, Im Jessica,
The reason I like Jenny Craig is that it is a no-brainer. I like the fact that it is portion controlled. I have read other comments about the tastiness of the food, I for one, love Jenny Craig food. I don't think Weight Watchers, Lean Cuisine or any of the other "low calorie" frozen foods even come close to Jenny Craig's. Also, I think people lose sight of the fact that they are on a diet, you DO have to give up something to lose weight. How do you think we get fat to begin with? By thinking we can and should have it all. Sometimes it may be taste, portion size, etc., but overall, the food is a good option w/o sacrificing very much. My stepmom always has a saying that I think puts it all in perspective and that is "every meal is not a feast, and every day is not a holiday". Sometimes eating is for celebration, but for the most part, it is to nourish the body.
I am proud to say, I have been a platinum member for 3 years. I have followed the program, went on maintenance many times. When I find that I start gaining 3 - 5 pounds, I go right back on Jenny and take it off, then back on maintenance. I have no problem doing this for a lifetime, better than gaining 40 lbs and then having to "re-lose" it all again. The key is that once you get it off, keep it off. It works for me!!! I have stayed within the 125-130 lb range for 3 yrs. Prior to that, I hovered around 140 lbs (and even that required a lot of work). Jenny has made it easy for me.
